Recent Projects

So lately I've been trying to be more creative.  And the results of those efforts, at least the recent ones, is a quilt.

It's pretty much amazing and cute and . . . I love it.  In case you can't tell, I'm pretty proud of my first attempt at a quilt.  It didn't go perfectly, of course, but hey that's what practice is for.  I'm planning on making another one sometime this summer--I definitely won't have time during next Fall and Winter semester.

Hello Again

So, I'm going to try this whole blog thing again. I tried it when I was in Spain, and then I started traveling so much I didn't have time to update it. And then I came back to school...and well that was busy too. But I'm trying again--hopefully it will work better this time.

I just had my birthday this last Thursday, and now I am 21. Isn't that mindboggling? It doesn't feel like I've been alive that long. Then again, when I really sit down and think about it, 21 is really young. I've got a lot of life ahead of me. I've had conflicting thoughts going in my head for a while--old vs young. I'm not sure which argument has won yet.

I currently live with amazing roommates who have made college an even better place--if you can imagine it. We have a lot of fun and laugh a lot--iit's a great ab workout.

Schoolwise: My current plan is Accounting. I'm waiting to hear back from the Admissions Board to see if I get in. Cross your fingers for July!

But, I'm also taking classes during Spring term, so yes, I am still here in Provo, Utah. Actually, I'm really excited about this term because I finish my Spanish minor! It's been 7 years in the making, but I'm finishing it in 2 weeks! It will be nice to have something accomplished and completed.

I've also got an Astronomy class which is an amazingly fun general. Every class, I am amazed at the intricacies and planning that went into the universe. Seriously, it is absolutely incredible. This class has just reaffirmed the fact that there is a Master Planner behind everything. It's mind boggling.

And then my fun class for the term is Scuba Diving. Yep, it is an actual class--I get college credit to breathe underwater. We learned the basics in a swimming pool, and then we went up to the crater in Midway for our actual dives. We just finished those, and now all I have to do is fill out the paper work and then I'll be a certified Scuba Diver! Which is just in time for a trip to Catalina Island in July!

And other than school, my life is rather monotonous. At this point, everything seems to revolve around my classes and tests. But hey, at least I'm enjoying it!

In about 2 weeks, I'm headed back to Arizona to see family and work. It will be really nice to have a break from school and really spend time with my family again. But don't worry, I won't be away from Provo for too long, because there's a Webb family reunion in the beginning of July. I'll barely have had time to unpack before I'm headed right back to Utah! It's a good thing I love this state.

And that's my current life: School, school, finals, work, play. It's pretty great.
